Mirrors Support Review: First off, this is an EP that was both more and less than I expected. After listening to this EP as a single piece of work, I was definitely impressed. The intro track, �Pathogenic� was awesome and really pulled me into what I was about to hear. However, I was honestly hoping for 5 full songs. Now once the album really begins, these guys kick into gear. Warpath literally paves the way into something seriously heavy and dissonant, while providing the listener with some interesting breakdowns that don�t fail to disappointment. Throughout this album, what I really enjoyed was the Gregorian chanting that gave it this �choir-of-hell� feeling. The point of Music Thing over the last few years has been to celebrate hardware when all around were defecting to the sensible, practical world of software synths and in-the-box mixing. Celebrating hardware not because its better, but because it looks cool and is nice to have around. The best hardware is ambitious, bonkers, knob-covered and over engineered; where no switch is left unilluminated and theres always a joystick. Synths should be modular and/or white. The Evil Within is an almost reboot of survival horror, mixing a large portion of Resident Evil and Silent Hill with SAW. A police detective, you wake up swinging from a meat hook during an investigation of creepy mansion du jure. The game is terrifying and unnerving, with hints of psychological horror thrown in as well. This is a brutal, gruesome, and terrifying return to the survival horror roots. If you like terrifying games, this is a game for you. The graphics are gorgeously disturbing, the music is fantastically tense, and the controls are very responsive and tight. The graphics and environments have to be seen to be believed. I wouldnt trust myself to play this with headphones in a dark room without wearing a diaper.
