TDATS fourth birthday festive greetings to you all! No music here....just a thanks to all the people who have been following this blog, four years down the line and I am still finding new ideas and receiving helpful pointers from readers who are often more informed than me....so thanks to you all. TDATS Vol 83 Switzerland reboot McChurch Soundroom Delusion LP 1971 This is a late addition to the Swiss Volume 83, an extra band kindly suggested by TDATS fb group admin  Martin Smith . Heres whats new: McChurch Soundroom  was an eclectic psych free blues rock ensemble that has close relationships with krautrock, in particular with the heavy, stoned jazzy sound of Nosferatu (see Vol116), but also with folkish bands from England (Jethro Tull first era). Their original LP "Delusion" was released in 1971 on the legendary Pilz label (Popol Vuh, Wallenstein, Witthuser & Westrupp etc). This psych folk underground act is now cult. TDATS 97 Queen of the Neighbourhood Female Vocals 4 Download from: [mf] of [mg] unzip pass:   tdats A happy new year to you all. This is my fourth female vocals special after Vol19, Vol49 and Vol71. Its another diverse mix of new-to-tdats heavy psych, pop, blues and hard rock through the ages. All-girl  The Pleasure Seekers was Suzi Quatros first band and Martha Vel�z s album had some big names playing on it like Eric Clapton, Paul Kossoff, Rick Hayward, Stan Webb and Brian Auger. Flame guitarist Jimmy Crespo later joined Aerosmith in 1979. Anne Sarofeen and Smoke s song is a cover of a track from the same Martha Vel�z album that I took Feel So Bad from. The Poppy Family  offers a slice of creepy, ominous pop psych and Aura (not to be confused with the Aura on Vol93) was a brass funk band with great acid guitar. As a bit of fun, this has unearthed some cool records and heres the best selection I could come up with! Alabama, along with all the south-east states, is deeply involved in the history of Southern rock and American rock. Although the city of Birmingham itself didnt throw up any internationally-famous bands, it had a thriving music scene.
