The Electric Lounge of Aural Ecstasy Flute Players Are Hot!

The Electric Lounge of Aural Ecstasy Flute Players Are Hot! Download from: [mf] or [mg] Unzip pass:  tdats On Saturday 9th of March 2012, Scott Sroka (aka DJ Cheesus) and co-host Star Gazer dedicated an Electric Lounge of Aural Ecstasy show on Core of Destruction Radio to rock music involving the flute. During the show he interviewed flautist Ian Andeson from Jethro Tull, and played only cool 70s tracks with lots of rocking flute. Included among his picks were all the tracks I used on a previous TDATS comp: Vol78: I Was Only Dreaming. As usual, he and Star Gazer have shed some more light on them, like the fact the Fashion Pinks "Im a Man" is a cover of a Stevie Winwood/Spencer Davis Group classic. In this download I have included the entire show, in three parts. The third part is the Ian Anderson interview spot, during which Scott also played some Anderson/Tull classics and newies. Ian gives a great interview about all things Tull, along with news of his current...

The Electric Lounge of Aural Ecstasy presents A Tribute Vol 2

The Electric Lounge of Aural Ecstasy presents A Tribute Vol 2 Download from [mf] or [mg] unzip password:  tdats On Saturday 15th of September 2012, Scott Sroka (aka DJ Cheesus) dedicated another Electric Lounge of Aural Ecstasy show on Core of Destruction Radio to a 3 hour Day After The Sabbath tribute, having transmitted his first tribute (to the first 39 volumes) on the 25th August, which I posted here. Scott, currently living in So Paulo, Brazil, has been presenting on Core of Destruction for over a year. He was a contributor to the excellent stoner rock community blog Sludge Swamp, that sadly closed its doors a while ago. Sludge Swamp helped me out in making a name for TDATS back when I started doing this, and also hosted demos for a few of the New Zealand bands that are joined up on the forum I started up when I was over there: www.stonerdoom.co.nz. For this second show he chose at random one track from each of the volumes between 40 and 75,...

The Detonator Is a Huge Science Fiction Motorcycle Brought to Electric Life

The Detonator Is a Huge Science Fiction Motorcycle Brought to Electric Life From Gizmodo: The Detonator Is a Huge Science Fiction Motorcycle Brought to Electric Life Daniel Simon designed the Light Cycles for Tron: Legacy and the vehicles for Captain America, but now one of his craziest concepts yet is coming to life in a street legal version. Lets hope no one kills themselves riding it. The Detonator is an 11.5 foot electric motorcycle powered by a lithium-ion battery that gets 80-100 miles on a one-hour charge. The bike rips tooits supposed to go up to 120 mph, but heres the thing: the Detonator probably isnt the easiest bike in the world to handle. The rider sits way in the back from where they have to maneuver a huge, elongated front-end that makes even showy custom choppers with long forks look puny. The Detonator concept was drawn-up by Simon for his futuristic vehicle design company, Cosmic Motors, and its being built by Parker Brothers Choppers, which also produced a run of re...
