POISON RARE AND RECOMMENDED!!  A GOOD COLLECTION OF OBSCURE BANDS 60 YEARS!! The E Types Introducing The E Types 1965 66 us splendid garage beat

The E Types Introducing The E Types 1965 66 us splendid garage beat In the mid-60s, this group from Salinas, CA, (near San Jose) played a pleasant blend of British Invasion-inspired pop/rock and a touch of garage. With prominent keyboards, three-part harmonies, and original material with minor-keyed shifts, they sounded something like a mix between the Zombies and the Turtles. Very popular within their (pretty limited) stomping grounds, they made no impact whatsoever on a national level, issuing four singles on small labels (most of them with producer Ed Cobb, who also handled the Standells and the Chocolate Watch Band). Certainly they were a promising outfit, capable of offering strong original material (most of which, oddly, was penned by a friend who wasnt in the band, Larry Hosford). They didnt have enough time to convert that promise into truly significant work, however. They disbanded in 1967, when their carefully executed pop/rock was falling out of fashion in California, in fav...

The Stormsville Shakers One And One Is The Complete Recordings 1965 67 uk wonderful mod beat with psych flashes 2015 issue Phillip Goodhand-Tait has had his songs recorded by artists ranging from Gene Pitney to Roger Daltrey and has also fronted a number of bands in his many decades in the music industry.  Cherry Red Group imprint RPM has collected 27 tracks by singer-musician-songwriter Goodhand-Tait, solo and with his bands The Stormsville Shakers and Circus as One and One is Two: Complete Recordings 1965-1967. The Jazz Composers Orchestra Communication 1965

The Millennium Voices Of The Millennium 1965 68 us bautiful sunshine psychedelia 2013 Blu Spec issue third part of eight discs box set

The Millennium Voices Of The Millennium 1965 68 us bautiful sunshine psychedelia 2013 Blu Spec issue third part of eight discs box set The Voices Of Millennium are actually telling us about how some of the band members were spending their time after The Millennium break-up (if there ever was one) towards the end of the decade. Though it might not be as adventurous as it was while they were only just begin-ining, these sessions show that they were still spending some quality time together. Some of the tracks, with an almost baroque country feel, with the kind of a Wilson-ian touch too, like I Still Can See Your Face and Will You Ever See Me, as well as the chamber-psych The Blue Marble, later surfaced on Gary Ushers sophomore Sagittarius release of the same title, while another easy country piece, Share With Me, graced the sunny side of Curt Boettchers Together single. Along with the Spector-ized opener Come To Me Baby, the ones contributing to the more cheery side of the album, are...
